What are all on 6 dental implants?

Dental implants replace missing teeth. Basically, the actual implant consists of a titanium body which represents the root of the tooth. This titanium root is fixed carefully but securely into the jaw, into the place of the missing tooth (or removed loose tooth). The type of implant we will use depends on the amount of bone available. The placement of these implants is relatively non-invasive and it is generally not painful. We do, however, use a local anesthetic to minimize any discomfort, so you will be asleep while we place the implants. We use stitches to hold the implants securely in place while you heal.

Once the implants are fit, we can place a temporary crown on your new root. This depends on the stability of the root. We allow the bone and the gums to heal for about a week before the stitches are removed. During this follow-up, we’ll also check that the implants are stable.

A final crown will replace the temporary crown after two months of waiting. We use the best materials on the market to ensure that your new teeth are hard enough to withstand biting, while they will also give you that great smile!
